Seven Ages of Man.

The idea of “seven ages of man” goes back centuries, found in the works of a Roman poet, an English painter, and the illustrious Shakespeare. Shakespeare used the metaphor to represent human life. He compared life to a play and each stage of life as an “act” in the play.

I used the metaphor in a song, not knowing it would later resurface as the concept of the EP.

My goal while writing was simple: maintain the theme of desire for growth. These songs document the stages of life I’ve experienced so far. I’m proud of this project because it helped me grow as an artist and a person. I hope it helps someone out there, too. Thank you for your unwavering support.

An excerpt from Shakespeare’s As You Like It:

“All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages.”
